We are thrilled to report that LoLo has found her forever home. There really are Christmas angels out there, and we thank you.
Our pet of the week is Stitches, a three-year-old, male tabby. He is a very sweet and playful cat who loves to snuggle and cuddle, and is a total lap cat. He can be chatty at times, but everyone just falls in love with his wonderful personality. Stitch is a healthy boy and up-to-date on vaccines, however he is FIV positive so will need to be an only, indoor cat.
Also available is Nellie, a beautiful 13-year-old, medium hair, torbie cat. Nellie came to us shy and fearful, but she is now spending much more time out of hiding and is allowing more people to pet her. She has a very sweet nature and we expect that she will blossom once she finds her person and goes to a home where she feels comfortable. Come meet her and see if you were meant for each other.
If you want a real lap cat you can’t go wrong with Charlie, a three-year-old tabby and white cat. He’s a real lover boy who charms everyone he meets. He’d also love to find a home for the holidays. Might it be yours?
And for the Guinea pig lovers we have a mother/daughter pair in need of a home(s). Both are Abyssinian with calico coloring. Moana is the mother, a three-year-old with a black face. Her daughter, Chip, is two years old and has a light colored face. Both are hand-raised and very friendly.
The Animal Shelter of Martha’s Vineyard is here for our community. We’re always available and our door is always open should your adoption not be a perfect fit. Also, if anyone is in need of cat food, dog food, or a crate, we have plenty and are happy to share. The Island Food Pantry also has pet food for those in need.
