We have no adoptions to report this week, but our pet of the week is an awesome eight-month-old chocolate Labrador retriever/pit bull mix named Maple. She’s brown with a white chest and some white toes. Maple is a wonderful puppy — smart, very sweet and good with other dogs. She’s spayed, up-to-date on vaccinations and ready to go, so come meet the lovely Miss Maple and see if she could be the girl for you.

We have a stray, female, senior black cat with polydactyl front paws. She was found on Windy Way in West Tisbury on Jan, 16 and we’re calling her Ruth. If you think Ruth may be your pet, please contact the shelter. Ruth will be available for adoption next week.

Also available is Nellie, a beautiful 13-year-old, medium hair, torbie cat. Nellie came to us shy and fearful, but she has been spending more and more time out of hiding and is allowing more people to pet her. She has even begun to snuggle with her favorites. Nellie has a very sweet nature and we know that she will blossom once she finds her person and goes to a home where she feels comfortable.

Molly and Mia are two very friendly Guinea Pigs. Molly is four year old with brown and white markings, while Molly, who is three, is a calico with a black face. These girls are well socialized, sweet and come with a cage if needed.
