The March winds are certainly keeping us in a cool mood, but the sun is trying to keep us happy. Monday was certainly a great day with the sun and just a small wind. But it will soon be April with the rain to bring May flowers.

Happy Birthday to all who celebrated their day this past week. Big balloons go out to Henry Jackson, who celebrated March 22; Zara Pencheva, March 23; Giovanni Neblas, Julia Florio, Taylor Martins, March 24; and to Aidden Dunnebier and Daniel Gundes who celebrated March 25.

Debbie MacInnis is back home after spending a week in Kennebunk Port, Maine cat sitting for her brother Chris Snow. Debbie had a lot of fun being able to visit her cousins in Brunswick, and Hollis, Maine who she had not seen in some time. She then visited her friend in Ipswich on her way home. She had a very good time and was happy to be home to her chair where her own cat Indy was very happy in her lap after her trip.

Earth Day is April 19, and the Earth Day beach cleanup project is looking for volunteers. They need bags for their monthly cleanups so if you have any collected, please drop them at the Wakeman Center or they can arrange for pickup. There is a bin outside SBS where you can leave them as well.

They would also love some help sorting bags, gloves and putting the kits together. If you are unable to clean a beach but want to be involved, you can sign up to help with Vineyard Conservation Society.

It is time to get out the holly tone and start fertilizing your hydrangeas and evergreens. I noticed in the warm area in my yard the hydrangeas are starting to show some green. With all the rain and now the warm sun the green will start popping up everywhere.

Have a great week and keep the home candles burning.
