No one was hurt in a three-vehicle crash on Edgartown-Vineyard Haven Road in Oak Bluffs Monday evening near Goodale Construction pit.

First responders were called to the area near the roundabout at about 8 p.m. for the crash, according to Oak Bluffs police Lieut. Nicholas Curelli. A preliminary investigation found a vehicle with faulty brakes hit a vehicle that was attempting to stop. The vehicle that was hit was then pushed into another vehicle that was waiting to make a lefthand turn into Goodale’s, Lieut. Currelli said. 

“The third vehicle stated that his brakes went out,” he said. “The car had not been on the road for approximately two years.”

Oak Bluffs police cited the driver of the third vehicle for having defective equipment. There were no arrests.
