A man and a child were brought to the hospital with potentially life-threatening injuries Thursday after a crash along Beach Road in Oak Bluffs. 

State police from the Oak Bluffs barracks responded to the area at Island Inn Road at 8:30 p.m. for a reported crash between a truck and an e-bike, a spokesperson said in a statement Friday. 

The injuries appeared to be life-threatening, police said. 

A crash reconstruction team was brought in for the investigation, which is ongoing. 

State police declined to release further details. The Oak Bluffs police and fire departments did not respond to requests for comment Friday.
