Tristan Israel and his band had a great time and received great reviews for his concert at our newly opened library last Tuesday night.

Speaking of concerts, my friend Jordan Thompson-Murphy is totally amazed by the Bob Dylan concert she attended in Vienna, Virginia last weekend. The concert was four hours long and wonderful.

Meanwhile my friend Chris Hulbert has hit the road again on a concert route. He is now in Long Island waiting for a friend who will join him on the road. His precious Chicklet will be cared for on Island. Chris promises to return August 4.

Allen and Eileen Bemus have returned to their Island home from a 10-day trip to see friends in Connecticut. They attended a glorious birthday party for many friends at the Saugatuck Athletic Club in Westport. An annual picnic was held in Clinton, Conn. They have returned to their yard work duties at their home here.

Note that the Agricultural Fair will be earlier this year. I do think the earlier date is a good thing for all of us.

Shoutout to my childhood friend Thomas G. Murphy. Tom will visit the Island for the first time ever after Labor Day. I will be lining up one of DeeDee Borza’s Homegrown Tours for him. Remember to keep Dee Dee’s son Michael and grandson Nolan in your prayers.

The birthday bandwagon pulled along my son Chris Clark on July 17; Lilly Clark my daughter in law followed on July 24; July 25 was shared by Karen Gerlach and Robert Radcliffe; July 26 was a happy seventh birthday for Natasha Almodovar; Jonathan Gardella celebrated on July 30; and on August 3 this town columnist joins Tony Bennett in memory and Tom Bardy and Tom Colligan in partying; and on August 4 Elaine Klein and Barack Obama take the cake. Many happy returns.
