Last week the varsity girls’ lacrosse team came up with two big wins by beating Bishop Stang on their turf and Nauset at home. Both games were tight, with the Vineyard scoring a goal against Bishop Stang in the final minutes to win 14-13. The Vineyard had lost to Nauset earlier in the season but this time came away with a 12-10 victory.

This week the team took on league powerhouse Bishop Feehan, who had beaten the Vineyard 23-8 in their first meeting this year and is undefeated. Feehan again served notice by winning the game 16-7, but the Vineyard learned a lot during the game, especially goalie Sam Hargy who had 17 saves for the day.
