Reason for Running

To continue to restore public confidence in Dukes County government. Over the past two and half years, I have tried to bring a renewed professionalism to county commission meetings and the direction of the county.

I want to continue to support the new team at the county airport, which I helped put in place, as they continue to make major positive changes in the running of this important gateway to the Island.

Qualifications

As the former budget director of the Legislative Committee on Counties, I have firsthand knowledge of how the county should function and how to improve public services.

As the former deputy commissioner in the Commonwealth’s Department of Correction, I know how the commonwealth interacts with county corrections.

Currently, I am the president of an organization that has over 100 employees and has a budget of over $25 million, I possess the skills and experience to help navigate the county budget and to help recruit the many volunteers that the county needs to fulfill its core functions.

Role of County Commission

The main goal over the next two years will be continue to restore faith and confidence in the electorate that our core functions are being provided in a professional, efficient and cost effective manner.
