Boyd Hand Cowper of East Chop died on March 24 after a short illness. He was 89 and a force to be reckoned with.

Timothy Catling of Edgartown died on Monday, July 3, at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston.

Samuel A. Campbell, Magic Sam, of West Tisbury died peacefully on Tuesday, June 27 at the Martha’s Vineyard Hospital. He was 74.

William Merritt Correllus of Oak Bluffs and Little Egg Harbor, N.J., died on Thursday, June 15 at 3:30 p.m. in Manahawkin, N.J. He was 84.

William M. Correllus died on Thursday, June 15. He was 83.

Judith Anne Clough (née Salomon) of Vineyard Haven died on May 16 from complications due to Alzheimer’s disease. She was 82.

Langdon Payne Clarke, or Coach Lang to many people, recently died on Martha’s Vineyard. He was 66.

H. Glenn Carpenter Jr. of Edgartown died on May 13 from complications arising from esophageal cancer.

Linda Martenson Chapman died peacefully on the evening of Sept. 16.
