Betty Jean Willis died peacefully at her home in the Seabury Retirement Community in Bloomfield, Conn. on Thursday, Dec. 23.

Dr. Jaime K. (Jimmy) Javier died Dec. 26. He was 83.

Charles (Charlie) Flathers of Vineyard Haven died on Sunday, Dec. 12, surrounded by family and his beloved wife Sheila Woodworth Flathers.

John F. Connors Jr. died on Dec. 25 at his home in Edgartown with his wife by his side.

Irja Orvokki Nivala died on Dec. 22 after a sudden illness.

Barbara Prada, who had been the Edgartown animal control officer for 37 years, died unexpectedly Dec. 23 after a short illness.

Rodney Paul Jensen of Edgartown died in Taunton on Dec. 20.

Pierre Bonneau, who taught French at the Martha's Vineyard Regional High School, died at home on Dec. 18.

Anita C. Cimeno died peacefully in her sleep at Windemere on Dec. 18.
