Dorothy May Gregory died of a cardiac arrest at her home in West Tisbury on August 18.

Mary Jane (MJ) Vance Grant, of Edgartown and Vero Beach, Fla. died peacefully at her home in Florida on August 20 with her daughter by her side.

Robert Bonnar (Bob) Doane died May 20 with all three of his children, Linda, Cynthia and Robert, at his side.

William (Bill) Cooper Barendse died August 5 in Kalispell, Mont., where he lived, worked and climbed the mountains he loved.

Donald H. Lyons of West Tisbury, former rector at Grace Episcopal Church, died at his home on August 24.

Joseph P. Kenney Jr. of Vineyard Haven died at his home on August 22. He was 68.

Donovan Fitzgerald Bennett of Edgartown died unexpectedly on Saturday, August 14 at the Martha’s Vineyard Hospital. He was 54.

Lester Horace Woodcock died on July 25. He was 94 and was one of the last surviving members of the original Sports Illustrated editorial staff.

Lizanne Hardegen Jones of Longport, N.J. died peacefully on Thursday, August 12 at her home by the bay. She was 80.
