Deidre O'Connell Diodati died April 5 after a courageous seven-year battle with cancer.

Pauline (Polly) Friedrichs of Exeter, N.H. died July 14 at home, surrounded by loved ones. She was 92.

Steven K. Steinberg of Cos Cob, Conn. and Palm Beach Gardens, Fla. died on July 19. He was 62.

Martha Jeanne Bears Rich of Sharon died on July 7. She was 98, and was a pioneer in school nursing.

James Alexander (Alex) Sands died suddenly and accidentally at home on June 13. He was 28.

Jane R. Newman of Longboat Key, Fla. died July 5 after a brief illness. She was 89.

Kathleen Pond Baptiste-Maki of Vineyard Haven and New Bedford died peacefully at home on July 16. She was 70.

A celebration of life will be held to honor Priscilla Sylvia at 2 p.m. on July 25 at the Sailing Camp Park in Oak Bluffs.
