Bundled up against the chill on a sunny, blustery day, Vineyarders turned out for the annual Veterans Day parade and remembrance ceremony, held in Ocean Park in Oak Bluffs.
Off-season on Martha's Vineyard has its own charms. The Island is quieter now. The white sand beaches are largely empty, and leaves that created a soft green canopy in the summer have turned yellow and orange and begun to fall. Nature seems to reassert itself.
