Two accidents involving intoxicated drivers occupied police in Edgartown and Chilmark over the weekend. In Edgartown, there was a two-car collision on Saturday evening, while in Chilmark, a two-car collision took place on Friday.
On one of the busiest weekends of the year, police said there were few incidents of note. “It’s the news I want to give to you,” said West Tisbury chief Matthew Mincone.
Island police were kept busy with an array of minor incidents over the weekend. On Sunday Edgartown police responded to a call at the Vineyard Vines store, where a stink bomb had been left inside.
