The Vineyard Montessori School is expanding its curriculum, with plans in place to add a fifth grade next year. And administrators and teachers say that based on continued parent and student interest, sixth grade is likely to follow.

Campers will use books to delve into magical worlds that bring the stories to life. Activities include movement and music, visual and theatre arts, scientific exploration, water play, cooking, field trips, and walks to the beach.
The Vineyard Montessori School’s fifth annual Haircut-A-Thon is planned for Sunday, Nov. 11 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Wave Lengths Hair Salon on Main street in Vineyard Haven.
Now in its fifth year, the event will include face and nail painting, beverages and snacks.
Vineyard Montessori Yard Sale Fund-raiser will take place on Sunday, Nov. 23 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the corner of Tashmoo avenue and Main street, Vineyard Haven. Forty-five families will be donating items for the yard sale. There will also be children’s activities, baked goods and warm drinks. Big Night Out, a fundraiser for Vineyard Montessori School, will be held Friday, May 16 at Farm Neck Golf Club from 6 to 10 p.m. The evening will feature gourmet hors d’oeuvres, desserts by Rickard Bread Company and live and silent auctions.
