The West Tisbury Farmers' Market returns Saturday for its 50th season. Going back to 1974, the market has offered farmers a place to sell their produce and learn valuable lessons from each other.
The twice-a-week West Tisbury Farmers’ Market opens Saturday, relocated this year to the Agricultural Society fairgrounds. It will be a different event this year, with a hands-off policy for customers.
Shifting from the grounds outside the Grange Hall to inside the Agricultural Hall, frozen limeades give way to warm soups, and juicy cucumbers fade into plump squash.
