Edgartown selectmen voted Monday to begin offering non-resident senior shellfish licenses at the price of $125.
Acting on the recommendation of the town shellfish committee, the town will now offer the discounted license for seniors, half the $250 cost of a regular non-resident license. The senior rate is available to those 60 and older.
Selectmen also reappointed Paul Bagnall to another three-year term as the town shellfish constable and biologist.
In other business Monday selectmen accepted a gift of $17,997 for the town library. The gift came from the H.B. Trust.
They also voted to alter the alcohol license for the Dunes resort in Katama to cover rooms in the resort hotel. The change will allow the resort to serve alcohol as part of room service.
