I was noticing today that the trees still have a lot of leaves on them. I don’t know if that is a good thing or bad but I know that if it snows the leaves make more of a mess if not cleaned up. So what does this all mean? I don’t know but time will tell.
Happy birthday to all who celebrated their day this past week. Big balloons go out to Griffin Craig who celebrated his day Nov. 25; Jack Oteri, Nov. 26; Eloah Zotti, Nov. 27; Ava Townes, Nov. 28; Edward Cherry, Nov. 29; and to Gabriel Arritt, who celebrates his day Dec. 1.
I hope you all had a nice Thanksgiving. It is nice to get to see family, nice to visit and nice to eat those family treats that only one member of the family can make. Oh, you can make it but it never tastes the way they make it. I am still trying to master my mother’s fudge, but I don’t think it is going to happen.
Now the race is on. The saying around work is “Don’t stand still or you will be wrapped in white lights!” Christmas in Edgartown will be happening sooner than later. So many lights so many events; make sure you get a calendar of events for that weekend. And make sure you come to Donaroma’s on Friday night, Dec. 8 night for a stroll through the lights.
Saturday Dec. 2, there will be a nail trimming for your dog at the MV Animal Shelter. Ellen Blodgett is the groomer providing the service and it is $15 per dog but the money goes as a donation to the shelter. The time is 10 a.m. till 1 p.m. and it is a good cause and your dog will feel better.
Have a great week and keep the home candles burning.
