The Martha’s Vineyard High School Swim Team finished its dual meet season with a split result against Sacred Heart on Tuesday afternoon at the YMCA. The girls lost 79-54 while the boys won 71-55.

It was senior day for the Vineyard and graduating seniors Indigo Giambattista, Kathryn Cuthbert and co-captain Abigail Hammarlund were recognized before the start of the meet.

Gabby Carr won the 200 freestyle in 2:06.04 and the 100 butterfly in 1:08.11. Lily Jones won both sprint events, the 50 freestyle in 29.94 and the 100 freestyle in 1:06.78. Eighth grader Olympia Hall won the 500 free in 6:32.97 and finished 2nd in the 200 individual medley. The girls team also won the 400 freestyle relay (Lily Haynes, Olympia Hall, Lily Jones and Gabby Carr) in 4:37.87

For the boys, Ruairi Mullin won the 200 freestyle (2:03.73) and 100 freestyle (57.35). Christian Flanders won the 50 freestyle in 26.15. Eighth grader Andrue Carr won the 100 butterfly in 1:37.83 and took 2nd in the 100-meter backstroke. Jonathan Chivers won the 100 breaststroke in 1:19.88. The 200 freestyle relay team of Christian Flanders, Noah Lawry, Nathan Cuthbert and Ruairi Mullin won in 1:50.45. The 400 freestyle relay of Noah Lawry, Nathan Cuthbert, Christian Flanders and Ruairi Mullin won in 4:16.48.

The Vineyard travels to Sandwich on Saturday for the Cape and Islands Conference Championships.
