The Vineyard Gazette has relaunched its twice-weekly email newsletter as The Broadsheet, and announced that The Notebook, a popular anonymous essayist, will continue to appear in a new newsletter.

The first issue of The Broadsheet will arrive in inboxes Friday and will include summaries of news stories, contributed commentary and other information with links to vineyardgazette.com. Meanwhile, The Notebook essay will appear in an email every Saturday, along with other suggestions for weekend reading.

Subscribers to the Gazette and others who have signed up for the Vineyard Gazette’s newsletters will receive both The Broadsheet and The Notebook without the need to sign up again.

Publisher Jane Seagrave said the coronavirus emergency has created an unprecedented demand for local news, and the additional newsletter will give readers easy access to the broad scope of content that is added each day to the Gazette website.

With this change, readers can receive emails five days a week from the Vineyard Gazette Media Group. The Broadsheet will be published Tuesdays and Fridays, Cook the Vineyard, offering tips, recipes, and ideas for eating deliciously on Martha’s Vineyard, is published every Wednesday, and Island Time, with recommendations for events, both live and online, is published every Thursday. The Notebook will now be delivered  Saturdays.
