A brief power outage affected thousands of Eversource customers on the Vineyard Thursday morning before service was quickly restored.

According to Eversource spokesman Chris McKinnon, the cause was an equipment issue along the transmission line, causing a temporary outage in parts of Falmouth and the Vineyard. Some 28,000 customers were affected, Mr. McKinnon said.
