We had the best weather for the holiday weekend. The breeze, the nice warm temperature, sun and no humidity. You could not have asked for any better.
Happy Birthday to all who celebrated their day this past week. Big balloons go out to Maria DeFreitas and Taylor Golding who celebrated July 2; Anthonella Dias on July 3; Maverick Sylva on July 5; Hugo Delhougne on July 6; Schnyeder De Oliveira, Jhon Moreira and Noah Nascimento on July 7; and to Nathan Larkin and Alexa Sawers, who celebrate their day on July 8.
It was a great Fourth. Families gathered, the parade was on, the fireworks were not fogged out and people were smiling. I hosted the Colonial Navy of Fall River. My brother Frank has been a member since 1975 and they have marched in the parade since 1992. Their three-year absence made this year special as we were able to catch up on what has been happening in all of our lives.
Happy Birthday to Harry Stotz, who celebrated a milestone birthday. Harry was the guest of honor at a party hosted by his wife Judy and his family and friends. Congratulations, Harry — and here is to many more.
We miss the Look family as neighbors but we are lucky to have our new neighbors Christine and Chip Hall and their children Sabrina and Tommy who will be working on the Island this summer. We welcome them to the neighborhood.
The library will be starting their lawn concerts on Tuesday, July 12 from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. They will start off the season with The Jaywalkers. As you know, I have been waiting for this to start and I am happy they will have new performers every Tuesday throughout the summer. I hope you can catch some of these events and enjoy.
Have a great week and keep the home candles burning.
