Galaxy Gallery in Oak Bluffs is featuring some great artists. Kathy Poehler, my favorite seaweed artist, is one of the exhibitors. The exhibit is open from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Fan Ogilvie announces a poetry reading of the Cleaveland House poetry group. It will take place on August 30 from 5 yo 6 p.m. at Featherstone. Many Island favorites will be presenting their work. Georgia Morris, Brooks Robards and Ellie Bates are among the poets reading. The twentieth annual George V. Tankard Jr. Memorial Road Race is happening in person this year, not online. Register! The date is Sept. 10th.

Anthony and Katelyn Masi announce the birth of their fourth child, Henry Robert Masi. Henry was born on August 2 at nine pounds, four ounces. Everyone is fine. Welcome to the world, Henry.

With great sadness I tell you my dear friend Tamma Louise Cimeno died on August 20. Tamma was a lifelong Vineyard Haven resident. Her sweetness, her kindness and sense of humor defined her life. May she rest in peace.

August 26 shines on Carol Elliott Searle. August 27 is a party for Laiza Cimeno and Cheyenne Cormier. August 28 honors music man Stephen Hart. And on August 30, artist Harry N.
