The following cases were heard in Edgartown District Court.
Sept. 26
Chad Atkinson, 30, of Oak Bluffs, was arraigned on Sept. 18 charges in Vineyard Haven of rape and kidnapping. Defendant released on payment of $20,000 cash bail and with further condition to GPS monitoring (exclusion zone: the Martha’s Vineyard Regional High School) and to stay away from and have no contact with alleged victim. Pretrial hearing scheduled for Oct. 21.
Sept. 29
Jordan Coyle, 19, of Edgartown, was arraigned on Sept. 27 charges in Oak Bluffs of armed robbery, threatening to commit a crime and possessing liquor as a person under the age of 21. Defendant released on payment of $500 bail and $150 counsel fee and with further condition to be free of illicit drugs, marijuana and alcohol with screens to be administered and to stay away from and have no contact with alleged victims. Pretrial hearing scheduled for Dec. 16.
Christopher F. Thompson, 50, of Danbury, Conn., was arraigned on a Sept. 28 charge in Chilmark of assault and battery. Defendant entered plea of not guilty and was released on payment of $1,000 bail. Pretrial hearing scheduled for Dec. 1.
Sept. 30
Garrett B. Gamble, 27, of Greer, S.C., was arraigned on a Sept. 29 charge in Edgartown of assault and battery. Defendant released on payment of $500 bail and with further condition to be alcohol free. Pretrial hearing scheduled for Oct. 28.
Oct. 7
Paulo H. Kinaki, 25, of Edgartown was arraigned on an Oct. 2 charge of violating an abuse prevention order. Defendant released on payment of $500 bail. Pretrial hearing scheduled for Nov. 4.
Salli Hart, 58, of Vineyard Haven, was arraigned on Oct. 1 charges in Edgartown of drunken driving, negligent operation of a motor vehicle, a marked lanes violation, possessing an open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle and no inspection sticker. Defendant released on payment of $100 bail. Pretrial hearing scheduled for Dec. 1.
Yan Guimares, 28, of Oak Bluffs, was arraigned on Oct. 3 charges in Oak Bluffs of operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license, negligent operation of a motor vehicle, failure to stop for police, driving an uninsured motor vehicle and driving an unregistered motor vehicle. Defendant released on payment of $150 counsel fee and $100 bail. Pretrial hearing scheduled for Dec. 15.
Michael J. Pacheco Jr., 35, of Oak Bluffs, was arraigned on a Sept. 14 charge in Oak Bluffs of asault and battery on a family or household member and an Oct. 5 charge in Oak Bluffs of assault and battery on a family or household member. Defendant released on payment of $150 counsel fee and $1,500 bail and with further condition of no abuse of alleged victim/s. Pretrial hearing scheduled for Jan. 6, 2023.
Paulo H. Kinaki, 25, of Edgartown, was arraigned on a July 21 charge in Edgartown of threatening to commit a crime. Defendant released on personal recognizance. Pretrial hearing scheduled for Nov. 4.
Michael D. Jones, 35, of Edgartown, was arraigned on Oct. 5 charges in Vineyard Haven of assault and battery on a family or household member and strangulation or suffocation. Defendant released on personal recognizance, payment of $150 counsel fee, $500 bail and with further condition of no abuse of alleged victim. Pretrial hearing scheduled for Jan. 6, 2023.
Bridget L. Ginley, 30, of Edgartown, was arraigned on Oct. 6 charges of drunken driving and negligent operation of a motor vehicle. Defendant entered pleas of not guilty and released on personal reconizance. Pretrial hearing scheduled for Dec. 19.
Douglas Vines, 53, of Edgartown, was arraigned on a July 1 charge in Oak Bluffs of criminal harassment and a Sept. 27 charge in Oak Bluffs of intimidating a witness/juror/police or court official. Defendant’s motion to continue/remand was denied. Defendant released on personal recognizance and with further condition to stay away 100 yards from and have no contact with alleged victim. Pretrial hearing scheduled for Dec. 19.
Oct. 14
Zander C. Amaral, 19, of Vineyard Haven, was arraigned on Oct. 13 charges in Vineyard Haven of drunken driving, negligent operation of a motor vehicle, a marked lanes violation, speeding in a specially-regulated area and failure to stop for police. Bail set at $200. Defendant held at Dukes County Correctional Facility. Pretrial hearing scheduled for Nov. 14. In a separate docket, Mr. Amaral was also arraigned on Oct. 13 charges in Edgartown of negligent operation of a motor vehicle, a marked lanes violation, failure to stop for police and speeding in a specially-regulated area.
