The popular Chicken Alley Thrift Shop art show and sale has been postponed due to concerns over the Delta variant of Covid, Martha’s Vineyard Community Services announced.
Community Services owns the Thrift Shop. The event was set for August 15, but has been tentatively rescheduled for October, when select art and collectible items will be available for purchase in the store and online (www.chickenalley.org/).
The postponement comes at the recommendation of the Tisbury board of health, the announcement said.
The annual art and collectibles sale was founded by Thrift Shop volunteer Olga Hirschhorn in 2002, and has raised thousands of dollars for Community Services over the years.
