We knew it was going to happen. It turned from sweatshirts, sneakers, long pants and a nice warm blanket, to tank tops, shorts, flip flops and just a sheet will do.
When 2026 arrived, I think Mother Nature decided to let us know who is in control. We had record breaking snow, it was cold and windy all winter.
Memorial Day has come and gone, and it was a wet one. I think there have been many rainy Memorial Days.
We have had a few good days and the wind came back in and cooled it off, but the sun put energy in many people.
The sun has been shining, it has been warm, but the wind is keeping it cool enough for sweaters and sweatshirts.
“And along comes pretty little May”. This was one of the lines in a song we sang in elementary school about the months of the year. It is true because everything is coming alive and coloring our Island.
Mother Nature is toying with us again. We were in T-shirts and flip flops only to be back in sweatshirts and boots the next week.
The temperature is warmer, but the wind is reminding us that it is still early spring. Now it is April and we can expect showers as the saying goes.
