Well it sure will be like a ghost town all week mainly because of the school’s winter vacation that begins this afternoon.
Well, we are heading into a long holiday weekend as Monday is Presidents’ Day so the schools, post office, library and all other town buildings will be closed.
Well, it sure has been quiet in town since the holidays. Folks are going away on vacation or making plans to and that is about the size of it.

Monday is Martin Luther King Jr. Day and all federal, state and local buildings will be closed, making it the first long weekend of the New Year.

The trend in recent years seems to be more toward family or neighborhood gatherings to welcome in the New Year.
Well the automobile traffic in town was nearly non-existent most of Christmas day as families gathered around their tree to exchange gifts and enjoy a family dinner.
