Friday, Jan. 3 | Soup to share
Learn to move intentionally with Tai Chi, taught by Diane Crane, at the Oak Bluffs library from 10:30 a.m. to noon. The West Tisbury library has Free Soup & Bread Lunch from 11:45 a.m. to 12:45 p.m.
At the movies, you can see Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker at Edgartown Cinemas at 12:45 p.m., 4 p.m. or 7:15 p.m. Or settle into the comfy seats at the Martha's Vineyard Film Center in Vineyard Haven to screen Adam Sandler's film Uncut Gems at 7:30 p.m.
If you need something a little more active, try bowling under the black lights during Glow Bowling at the Barn Bowl & Bistro in Oak Bluffs, starting at 5 p.m.
Saturday, Jan. 4 | Boats to build
Here's a fun and interesting way to start off the day: Join the boat designers and builders of Gannon & Benjamin Marine Railway for coffee, muffins, a tour of current projects and some Boatyard Shop-Talk, from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Vineyard Haven harbor.
A great way to wind up the day: Listen to Island musicians play at the Potluck Jam at the Chilmark Community Center, starting at 6:30 p.m.
In between, you could screen Little Women at 4 p.m. at the MV Film Center or Jumanji at the Edgartown Cinemas at 4:15 p.m.
And by the way, it's Community Supper season and tonight's communal meal will be served at Trinity Worship Center in Oak Bluffs starting at 5:30 p.m. Everyone's welcome.
Sunday, Jan. 5 | Arias to applaud
This afternoon you can take the restless kids to Barn Buddies, 3 p.m. at the Ag Hall. Or take yourself to Opera Night at La Soffitta in Vineyard Haven. Beginning at 4 p.m.. live performances happen throughout the evening during dinner, which is served until 9 p.m.
The Federated Church in Edgartown hosts its weekly Community Meal from 12:30 p.m. to 2 p.m. with a hot lunch for anyone who's hungry for food, company or both.
Edgartown Cinemas has Spies in Disguise at 1 p.m. and the Film Center is showing Dark Waters at 4 p.m.
