Leigh C. Carroll died on Friday morning, Jan. 20 at his Vineyard Haven home on West Chop. He was 80.

Dr. Frank Rees Smith of Annapolis, Md. and Edgartown died on Monday, Jan. 16 at his home in Annapolis. He was 79.

Francine Esther Kelly died on Sunday, Jan. 8 at her daughter’s home in Culver City, Calif.

Maitland Armstrong Edey died on Dec. 30 at Massachusetts General Hospital. He was 81.

Margot Schwarz Weston died peacefully, surrounded by her loved ones, on Friday, Dec. 30, while off-Island for the holidays. She was 102.

Morgan Bowman Shipley Jr. of Vero Beach, Fla. and Oak Bluffs died peacefully on Jan. 10. He was 94.

Carol Ebert Perry died in the early morning of Dec. 26. She was 69.

On Jan. 8, John Morgan was finally able to find the peace that he yearned for so furiously in his too-short life.

Robert Bruce (Max) Maxwell of Edgartown died Jan. 14 after fighting a battle with cancer. He was 62.
