The 24th annual Martha’s Vineyard Film Festival was in full flow over weekend, with new documentary and narrative films showing day and night in West Tisbury, Vineyard Haven and Oak Bluffs.

Circuit Arts, in partnership with the Martha’s Vineyard Agricultural Society, will host a cinematic evening next week at the Grange Hall in West Tisbury to celebrate Island agriculture.

Films abound this weekend with both the The Martha’s Vineyard Film Society and Circuit Arts hosting mini festivals.

Live from the Grange returns to West Tisbury Friday night at 7 p.m. with a performance by Nashville-based folk musician Sean Della Croce.

Circuit Arts is holding two work-in-progress screenings next week of Heartworm, a sci-fi drama film directed by Miriam Louise Arens and filmed on the Island.

A wide variety of Island talent will be on display next week at the Grange Hall in West Tisbury.

The upcoming screening of silent movie classic The Cabinet of Doctor Caligari takes place Sunday night at the First Congregational Church in West Tisbury and features a live organ soundtrack.

Vineyard Preservation Trust opened the doors of the historic Grange Hall to the public Wednesday evening for what it called a “listening session” to solicit thoughts about future programming.
