The Martha’s Vineyard Women’s Forum was founded in 2020 to create community among women, partner with other organizations to address pressing Island needs.
As we mark both Women’s History Month and International Women’s Day, I would like to recognize the women of Edgartown who have been leaders across the spectrum of business, government and other important civic and community work.
While I am forever grateful for our first responders who have served the Island so continuously and selflessly during this pandemic, I also wanted to call attention to another group that has risen to the occasion, our Island libraries — and for me, the Oak Bluffs library.
In celebrating the birthday of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. last month, we recalled his leadership and contributions during the civil rights struggles.
