It was a busy weekend at home for Vineyard spring sports teams with baseball and softball and boys tennis playing at home on Friday, followed up on Saturday with home games for baseball and boys lacrosse.
The Vineyard tennis teams opened the season in a decisive way Friday, with both the girls and boys teams defeating their opponents from Lowell Catholic High School 5-0.
For the first time in the program’s 10-year history, the Martha’s Vineyard Regional High School boys swim team won the Cape and Islands League title, breaking school records.
