I came upon the REAL invitation to the Robbie Burns supper, right behind last year’s invitation asking you to contact Deborah Medders. So I apologize to all. Here’s the true story:

A new star shines over Martha’s Vineyard! Jeremy and Mel Dunham welcomed new baby boy, Alexander Robert West Dunham, last Thursday, Jan. 3 at Brigham and Womens Hospital. Older brother Connor was treated to a week at Grandma Martha Dunham’s on Skiff avenue while his parents traveled off-Island for the birth. Everyone is home now and doing just great. Welcome to the world, Alexander!

I have become accustomed to downward mobility, diminished dreams and disappointing occurrences. Therefore, my usual lengthy and optimistic New Year’s resolution list is shelved this year. My wants and needs are smaller. But this one hope for the new year is in your hands and you can make it happen for me. I want NO MORE FORWARDS. Yes, some are funny, many poignant, some informative, but way too many are, what was referred to in my Old Days, chain letters.
