Spring has arrived in Aquinnah with the grass getting greener each day, daffodils in full bloom, forsythia flourishing, and a few herring starting to appear in the run. Tulips are about to blossom. Go Hillary!
The Rev. Roger H. Spinney and his wife Sharon have returned from their more than well-deserved two-week vacation. While away, the Rev. Arlene Bodge and the Rev. David Berube filled in at Community Baptist Church and the congregation thanks them for their assistance as always.
It is apparent that perhaps global warming is catching up to us or we are to it. As many reminisced on Wednesday of where we were thirty years ago during the blizzard of 1978 and compared it to the 54-degree temperature of the day in 2008, it was quite a difference.
The next wave of reminiscing was that of when the Vineyard was predominantly Republican. Everyone tries to pinpoint the change to a Democratic phase in the 1960s.

Thank you to all involved: the new Aquinnah sign is at the town line and looks terrific, after the previous one of nine years had deteriorated nearly beyond recognition.
Resounding applause to Dan Sauer for his arising early to assist with the construction of the new playground in December. Dan was inadvertently omitted from the list of volunteers who worked on that cold blustery morning to provide a safe place for the children of Aquinnah to play.
