Spring has arrived in Aquinnah — the osprey are at their Lobsterville nest, the pinkletinks are in full chorus across town, the daffodils are in bloom, squirrels are in abundance, as are the rabbits. The fog has lifted and the sun is shining with temperatures in the 60s this week.
Many Aquinnah residents are returning from their travels. As a matter of fact, there were more residents out of town during the month of February than those that voted at the primary on Tuesday. Everyone is returning from exotic places like Taiwan, Nicaragua, Mexico, the Dominican Republic, California, Colorado, Utah, Arizona, Florida and beyond.
Approaching the age of Medicare, supplementary insurance, pharmaceutical coverage, online registration and telephone calls, ad infinitum, has been made a great deal easier with the assistance of our Up-Island Council on Aging (COA) Director Joyce Bowker.
