Last Saturday was a beautiful day to draw attention to our cause. Or should I say causes? So much needs repair.

Gloria Steinem was there. Germaine Greer was there. Betty Friedan was there. Bella Abzug in her signature hat was there.

That was a long four days in the house. If I was the adventurous type I could have kayaked through Five Corners.

I usually end my column with birthdays but this one is so important I am leading with it.

This is all about time for reflection. I think that is why we party so much this time of year. More so than in spring, we are revaluating the past and making resolutions for the future.

In this season of sharing and caring, which I think shouldn’t be a season but year-round, I had the most delightful surprise last night.

Happy Hanukkah. So many are gearing up for the holidays. Catch the community sing on Sunday at 5 p.m. at the Martha’s Vineyard Hebrew Center.

Patience and Fortitude. They greeted me almost every day for years when I lived in Manhattan and worked at the Lincoln Building.

The Island was crowded with visitors for the long Thanksgiving weekend. My favorite thing is to see our young students returning to see family and friends.

My annual tradition is to present my wish list to Santa by Thanksgiving weekend. Pull up a chair, get your coffee or wine, have your checkbooks and credit cards ready.
