Well, in retrospect, that was a quick season! Of course, it didn’t seem so when you were snagged in traffic or searching for a parking spot. Plenty of parking now.
However, I was only called that one time; many of my friends had been called Tuesday and Thursday. I also wonder how useful it is to give a Web site for more information and tracking when not everyone uses a computer. Indeed, in a great storm the computers may be down. Back to the drawing board.
Our neighborhood is hopping, not to mention our President headed down to play a round of golf at Mink Meadows on Wednesday. I must say I have missed any kind of traffic tie-up so far that others are experiencing because of the Presidential vacation. Just regular August traffic is annoying enough.
Trude Hart returned from her Florida home. She and husband, Jim, have their son, Ronnie, and his wife, Diane, as guests this week.
Well, they went off to see the Wizard. The Wizard of Oz, that is. Hugh Schwarz, his daughter, our cobbler, Nancy MacMullen, granddaughter Dawn, all travelled to Bridgewater State University to see Hugh’s grandson, Duncan MacMullen, who served in the Marine Corps, play the title role in their school play. I can’t think of a better Wizard! Congratulations, Duncan.
