Artist Cindy Kane's installation Empty Skies, inspired by extinct birds, will be on display at the Marine Hospital in Vineyard Haven for one day only, from noon to 8 p.m. on Friday.

West Tisbury abstract artist Rob Hauck's latest collection, New Paintings, will be showcased at the A Gallery in Oak Bluffs from July 16 to July 26. An opening reception will be held on Saturday to 5 to 7 p.m.

The Portuguese American club's annual Holy Ghost Feast and Festival celebrations liven up Oak Bluffs Saturday and Sunday. The fun starts with a big barbecue with lots of sopa at the Portuguese American Club on Saturday at 5 p.m. On Sunday the parade sets off from the Oak Bluffs Steamship Authority at 11 a.m. and travels to the Portuguese American club.

A march in solidarity with the Black Lives Matter movement will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday from Five Corners in Vineyard Haven to Ocean Park at Oak Bluffs.

Painter Harry Seymour's collection, The Vineyard in Black and White, will be on display at the Martha's Vineyard Playhouse from July 15 to August 4. An opening reception will be held Saturday from 4 to 6 p.m. at the playhouse.

Amy Brenneman and Sabrina Peck's new show, 90-52-15, is based on Ms. Brenneman's personal relationships with her mother and daughter. The show will be presented at the Yard in Chilmark and on Saturday, July 16 at 6:30 p.m., Ms. Brenneman will star in the An Evening with Amy Brenneman: Outtakes, Conversation, and Anecdotes, at 7 p.m. on Friday, a benefit for the Yard.

Celebrate all things blueberry Saturday at the Congregational Church in West Tisbury's annual blueberry festival. Blueberry cobbler, smoothies, baked goods and jams will be available, along with other fun activities, from noon to 4 p.m. on the church lawn.

Vineyard Colors, the photography duo of Moira Fitzgerald and Yann Meersseman, will display 366 days' worth of Island photography at the Edgartown library. An opening reception will take place on Saturday, July 16 from 2 to 4 p.m. at the library.

Jim Thomas and his Spirituals choir return to Union Chapel on Saturday, July 16 at 7:30 p.m. The program features spirituals about victory over oppression and deliverance from bondage.

Broadway and television star Megan Hilty stars as herself Saturday at the Performing Arts Center, part of the Vineyard Broadway series. She will be joined onstage by musician Seth Rudetsky; show time is at 8 p.m.

The third annual Cook the Vineyard, a celebration of local cookbook authors and local food, takes place at Lola's from noon to 2 p.m.

Ryan Spahn's new play, Blessed and Highly Favored, directed by Claudia Weill, will be unveiled Monday at the Martha's Vineyard Playhouse at 7:30 p.m. as part of the playhouse Monday night special series. Michael Urie and Debra Monk star in the comedy, which is still a work in progress and not a finished production. The audience Monday will get a behind the scenes look at it all.
