Flor de Toloache, the all-female Mariachi band, won hundreds of new fans Saturday night.

The Yard received grants from three sources totalling $1.1 million. The Boston-based Barr Foundation awarded the Chilmark dance colony $950,000 to help continue its year-round programming efforts.

The Wondertwins return to the Vineyard stage on Saturday, March 10 at the Performing Arts Center at the regional high school.

With two performances last weekend, two more coming up in March and April and workshops at Island schools, the Yard is in full winter swing.

This Saturday, Camille A. Brown and dancers perform Black Girl: Linguistic Play at the Performing Arts Center. It is the third part in a dance trilogy, the second of which, Ink, was presented last Friday at the Yard.

It’s a family affair at the Yard next week. Dancer Ruth Childs will perform three solos created by her aunt Lucinda Childs..
