Cheers to the Martha’s Vineyard Regional High School Class of 1964 as we gather this weekend to celebrate our 50th reunion.
The Gay Head 10K has been officially measured and certified by USA Track & Field, according to Martha Vanderhoop. The race on Oct. 5 will start at 10 a.m. at the Gay Head Lighthouse.
Autumn is upon us. The shadows are getting longer each day. Sunsets are simply spectacular. Beach plums are still in abundance. The fish are biting and deer are on the move.
Aquinnah Public Library has Mad Libs on Tuesday afternoons, stories and crafts on Thursdays, drop-in story time on Saturdays at 2 p.m. and afternoon crafts.
School is open — the children are excited as are the parents. Please be mindful of the young ones heading to their buses. Plan your travel down-Island accordingly so as not to be stuck behind an early morning or afternoon bus.
You’ll find me at the Martha’s Vineyard Museum for the weekend, as Moore and Moore and Moore opens this evening from 5 to 7 p.m. at the museum gallery, curated by museum director David Nathans.
Just a reminder — Primary Day is on Sept. 9 and the polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. You may cast your absentee ballot with our town clerk Carolyn Feltz up to the day before the election.
The Aquinnah Public Library deck was full on Saturday as everyone learned how to make ice cream. Thank you to the staff for such a success. Tomorrow is Build a Fairy House with Barbara at 1 p.m.
