The sun is shining, the sky is blue, the breeze is just enough and it is cool enough to stand outside for more than five minutes. It has been just lovely!
I know everything seems damp, but when you dig into the ground just a few inches down is nothing but powder. But the forecast is looking good for the rest of the week.
I don’t know what to say about the weather this week. It rains and it’s cold; the sun shines and it is warm. The nights are cool; the fog is here in the early morning.
I don’t know if you have attended Tuesday’s Music on the Lawn at the library sponsored by the Friends of the Edgartown Library, but July was a hit and upcoming August 12 will be The Grateful Dread, and Johnny Hoy plays on August 19.
We need the rain. I know we have had a lot, but if you dig in the ground, the soil is still like powder. So we need a slow, steady rain — at night would be ideal, then we would all be happy.
I have been hearing about the thunderstorms all over the Island, but I’m not sure if Edgartown had any, or I slept through them.
I guess we were lucky we only got rain. The weather is getting warmer and the wind forgot to go with the rest of the storm.
Well, happy 4th of July. While I am writing this, I have been watching the weather and I wonder what this day is going to be like.
In the warm weather here you can wear a short sleeve shirt, long sleeves, shorts or pants. There is blue sky and soft breeze — perfect. Who could ask for more?
