I had the most wonderful visit with Anna Duarte yesterday and the frosting on the cake was meeting her sister, Patricia Medeiros Suchy, of Pensacola, Fla.
Did you miss me? I certainly missed you. Unlike Humpty, all Mass. General’s women and men were able to put me back together again. What a positive experience!
Well, yes, my column was available last week but due to the stress and strains of holiday publishing, it was only viewable online, not in your old-fashioned newspaper. I didn’t even know how to find it. Unfortunately, I am used to making mistakes. Fortunately, this one wasn’t mine!
If you haven’t done so already, get out your pens and notebooks to write your annual wish list of what you hope to achieve in 2014. It is certainly time. The older I get the simpler my resolutions become. I have only one this year; I want to put all my folded laundry back in the drawers promptly. Make sure your teen drivers resolve to never text and drive.
It is the end of the year and the end of an era in many ways. I’m only shopping on-Island for gifts. This is a grand opportunity to see my friends and business owners that I am too involved to see in season.
What is with all the moths? My front and back door screens look like a Hitchcock movie. Do you think the latest cold snap has taken care of them? Does this mean a long or short winter and/or a dangerous caterpillar invasion next summer? Keep me informed.

Well, we can’t say the warm weather is coming back anytime soon, but the trees and leaves look beautiful. Get out the ice scrapers and the snow shovels, the squirrels told me it’s going to be a long, cold one.
