The weekend weather was just delightful. Activity will pick up even more in this town in advance of the fair. In two weeks a significant amount of summer traffic and visitors will begin to head in the other direction as the summer season slowly begins winding down for another year.

The weekend weather was delightful and reminded me of summer. There were many yards sales held all around town. A lot of backyard barbecuing was held and it was wonderful.

We had excellent hot weather over the long holiday weekend, just the way it should be for the Fourth. The Independence Day parade was well attended, as was Woollcott and Leah Smith’s annual party the night before. About 75 people took part in the evening’s festivities.

Father’s Day was wonderful, just perfect for outdoor barbecues, beaches, and all kinds of surprises. School closes Friday for the summer. It is getting busier each day as people continue to arrive for their vacations. The first day of summer was last Monday and it sure did feel like it.
