We have had a month of roller coaster temperatures, and some almost broke records.
We are still getting some warm weather and wind and rain over the weekend.
As you read this, Christmas in Edgartown is going on.
The cold weather is coming. We had snow flurries on Sunday.
I have lived on this island most of my life. In all those years--no, I will not tell you how many--we never had tornado warnings.
It is the end of the second week of November. We have only had one good frost and then temperatures will be in the low 60s for the rest of the week.
The big news, of course, is the storm now known as Wanda. It had winds of 93 mile an hour here in Edgartown.
I am sitting here listening to the weather and wondering what the next few days are going to bring. It is already raining and the wind is blowing, not badly, but it is starting.
There are a lot of people who vow not to put their heat on until Nov. 1.
