Nice to have sunshine for the past few days after what seemed like a week of fog and rain. This weekend will be interesting as we wait to see if March comes in like a lion or a lamb.
Spring is less than a month away. We have had more rain over the weekend, snow on Saturday evening, then two days of thick fog.
It rained for two and a half days straight over the weekend, never letting up but grateful that it was not a major blizzard.
We are getting closer to spring! Temperatures in the 40s, a full day of rain, and now overcast sky signifying another light snowfall.
Another wintry storm on Monday evening into Tuesday with less than two inches of snow in most places.
Still no snow in the forecast, temperatures have been in the 40s and 50s. Torrential rain all day on Tuesday and sun on Wednesday. Only eight weeks till spring.
People across the Vineyard are immensely saddened by the death of Jake Sequoia Baird on Jan. 12 in an automobile accident. He touched many lives in his 17 years. His many friends visit the site of the accident and have placed a cross by the roadside as well as flowers each day over the past week.
Sunny days ahead after a weekend of sub-zero temperatures, steady winds with gusts in the 50s and 60s, and one can only hope the end of winter storms for this year.
Just how cold is it? Well, this has been a long week of freezing temperatures.
