This is perhaps the busiest week of summer on the Vineyard — Illumination night on Wednesday, the Agricultural Fair began Thursday, and the Oak Bluffs fireworks on Friday.
Enjoying the weather a little better now that the humidity has ceased. Just a few more weeks of high summer and before we know it, autumn will arrive.
After days of heat and humidity, the rain on Monday finally broke the heat to a welcome coolness. Cooler weather for sleeping on Monday night although not a beach day on Monday or Tuesday.
Great sunny beach days over this past week with the temperature in the 70s and 80s and calm seas.
Sunny days have prevailed for the past week except for a torrential downpour on Friday. Temperatures in the 70s and 80s, with a lot of humidity and a little fog now and then. Everything is green.
Sunshine and warmth. The weather has certainly cooperated over the past week. Great beach days and the ability to time the grocery shopping just right in order to find a parking space and less traffic.
Summer has finally arrived. Warmer temperatures, days of sunshine and great boating and beach weather. The striped bass are running. Honeysuckle is in bloom.
It has been rather foggy over the past week with overcast skies and rain.
Summer is almost here. We went from a low in the 30s a week ago, still wearing wool and turning the heat back on, to having the temperature in the 80s in less than a week.
