Spring time in Aquinnah, temperature in the 50s and 60s. No more frost.
Spring is in the air in Aquinnah at long last and skunk cabbage is in the air as well.
Still waiting for a few more days of spring-like weather in Aquinnah. The temperature has been in the 30s and 40s but did reach 58 over the weekend.
The daffodils are in full bloom this week and forsythia is blooming as well. Songbirds are still singing as well as the nightly chorus of pinkletinks
Spring has come to Aquinnah as the pinkletinks arrived on March 31 and the herring are already heading up into Squibnocket Pond to spawn.
March will undoubtedly have to go out like a lamb as it certainly came in like a lion. More signs of spring are evident every day around Aquinnah.
Spring has arrived although one would never know it around here.
Aquinnah and the rest of the Vineyard experienced the third nor’easter in 11 days. On Tuesday, the electricity went out at about 9 a.m. and remained out throughout the day.
