An all-you-can-eat pancake breakfast will be held on Sunday, Feb. 21 from 10 a.m. to noon at the Aquinnah town hall for the benefit of the Aquinnah Community Programs Committee. This is always a fun time for the entire family. The cost of the breakfast is $5. Children under five are free.
Community Baptist Church of Gay Head will be having summer services at 9 a.m. While awaiting a new minister, we have had the fortune of guest ministers to carry on our mission and goals.
The Old South Road Association Fourth of July Parade in Aquinnah has really increased in popularity. There were many more children marching this year and more adult participation. Thank you to each and every one of you who made this such a special event for the children.
Springtime weather is supposed to return this weekend after a few days of temperatures in the 40s and 50s, windy and drizzly. We are due to have temperatures in the 70s over the weekend. The fiddleheads have poked their heads above ground and the shad are in full bloom.

The Aquinnah community programs committee flea market will be held at the Aquinnah town hall on Saturday, Feb. 13 from 10 to 3 a.m. Lots of great sales for the day: jewelry, books, antiques, collectibles, and more. Be sure to stop by.
The Wampanoag Tribe of Gay Head (Aquinnah) will host their annual Spring Social on Sunday, April 25, from noon to 4 p.m. at the Tribal Building on Black Brook Road. This is a potluck luncheon so please bring a dish to share. The public is invited to this gathering which will be an afternoon of drum, dance and singing.
The rather large wolf moon has been lighting our paths over the weekend and especially evident during the light snow of Wednesday morning. We can only hope the northeaster goes out to sea this weekend.
Aquinnah Public Library will continue with Stamps and Prints and more stories during story and art time from 11 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Feb. 6. Coffee hour at the library is on Saturday mornings from 10 to 11 a.m. and reportedly was well-attended this past weekend.
