Monday, Monday, can’t trust that day, as the song lyrics go. However, this past Monday was a beautiful day and I hope that we might see more spring and sun.
I have been saying this past weekend that I hope we enjoyed our spring. It was so cold and damp. Mother’s Day was not a washout but it was chilly and it did not dampen the spirit of the kids and their moms. But now we are going to have rain and that will only make the grass greener and the plants grow stronger.
The weather man said don’t change your outside plans for Sunday it won’t be a washout. I think he forgot to tell the weather Gods.
Spring, winter, spring, winter. That’s how this past month felt. I, like most people, am ready to store away the sweaters and boots, etc.
I don’t think anyone can complain about this past weekend and the beginning of the week. Best of all the sun was shining and there was no fog.
Becky Cournoyer posted that it was March 98th. Meaning of course that we have had 98 days of cold, wind, rain or whatever weather March brings.
The rule that the heat gets turned off on April 1 has slowly gone down the drain.
April Fools. Oh wait, we got snow on April 2.
This is not one of my usual columns, but I wanted to share this story with you. It was a very different March for my family and I. The storms days without electricity and the birth of a new family member.
