I can come up with lots of clichés for the heat but I’m too hot to type them, so all I can say is it is hot, hot, hot and we are in desperate need of rain. We are luckier than most in the heat but it is still a bit warm to even be at the beach.

 It is Monday as I write this column with complete relief of the humidity. You could breathe, you were happy to be outside, and you could do things without drinking a gallon of water. Let’s hope we get the rain we need at night, lots of sunshine during the day, and keep the humidity far far away.

 Can everyone say HOT! Well that was the word of the week. We had the humidity to go along with it and then it was just hot. Some people loved it, some did not care and then there were people who just could not wait for it to go away. Either way this is summer in New England and who knows, it could snow tomorrow.

Well what a week it has been. Lots of sun, not too hot and the Fourth of July was perfect weather for whatever activity you had. Then we had some much needed rain. Who could ask for more?
